lyrics

I must have looked so stupid, standing with your hand in mine, and in the meanwhile, your other hand was entwined in his and his and his. I must have looked so seldom in the corners where you secretly held them. And if I wasn't over this, I'm sure I could assemble quite a list of names and places, but the truth is: I must admit you gave me an excuse to quit. And I can sympathize, black and blue from all these little white lies. I should buy those guys a drink as a way to thank them, make a toast to freedom. You spun a web just a web just like a spider up until the day you got tangled, working hard to cover all the angles and now you lay in the web you've made. I must have looked just like a bat given the ability to finally to see where he's at. Oh yeah, I flew right out of that hell. I hope it hurts you to know it didn't even really hurt me, 'cause, baby, I was blind, but you were kind enough to help me see.
